Just a rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, but ...

Since the mutineers of the „Bounty“ landed on his deserted rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean in 1790, we didn’t hear anything positive from the island. Murder, debauchery, inbreeding, raping of minors, escapes, suicides and so on. But, and this is a big but, in 1838 the self-goverment of Pitcairn, then still a British colony under the umbrella of New Zealand, decided that all women were allowed to vote – the first country in the world! There were not too many females then, and some domineted the society with its degenerated men. But still – if you hear Pitcairn mentioned, forget the „Bounty“, think of the woman suffrage
