When the „Imperial“ in Tokyo burned down in 1919, the famous US architekt Frank Lloyd Wright was commissioned to build a new hotel. He choose the „Maya Revival Style“ and constructed it so clever, that it has survived even earthquakes of a magnitude of 8,3. When it came to the question of a „modern“ luggage label, Wright – a perfectionist – wouldn’t allow nobody to do it but himself. This is the spectacular result, the only luggage label, as far as I know, created by the architect who constructed the hotel. An original is expensive (100 US dollars and more) but there are later editons and a cheap sticker also …
